A recent study by an international Institute researching into Occupational Health found there is a direct link between damp in carpets and occurrences of Asthma when people are regularly exposed to this environment. Unclean carpets are also a haven for dust mites. Up to 100,000 mites can inhabit one square yard of carpet, which feeds off human cells and fungi that can build up in an unclean carpet. The most common symptoms are itchy noses and/or eyes or sometimes a rash can occur.
